«FLOS FLORUM»: the Rose and the Lily (English version)

[Today (19 December) the Roman Martyrology commemorates Pope Blessed Urban V. The Nominis website says:

Elected pope in 1362, he was one of the seven popes residing in Avignon. In 1367, he re-established the Apostolic See in Rome, but the struggles of the Roman factions forced him to return to Avignon three years later, despite the protests of Saint Bridget.

On 1^st October 1999, John Paul II proclaimed Saint Bridget of Sweden co-patronesse of Europe, along with Saint Catherine of Siena and Saint Edith Stein. We read this in the apostolic letter Spes aedificandi (n. 3):

Catherine of Siena is likewise well-known for the role which she played at a time when the Successor of Peter resided in Avignon; she brought to completion a spiritual work already initiated by Bridget by becoming the force behind the Pope’s return to his own See at the tomb of the Prince of the Apostles.]

[A few days after the great solemnity of the Immaculate Conception (8 December), I published the following article in its French version, on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (12 December), Mother, Queen and Evangelizer of America.[1] The prophetic quotation below (LL II, 132), proposed here by way of introduction to this article, reached its sixtieth anniversary the day after, 13 December 2018. I now present that same article in its English version.]

/…/ Everything is going to happen at the same time: the threat of a nuclear war by Russia, terrible problems in the world — it will be truly a Tower of Babel… Darkness will cover the earth… Religious persecution will be rampant here until close to …….. [eight small dots] it will really be a new Rome… That is why the last Pope will be called, «Peter the Roman».

Yet, Conchita tells us about the end of the times, emphasizing that after Paul VI there will be only two Popes and that it will not be the end of the world. That’s true. Since 1958, I have known that the last Pope indicated in St Malachy’s prophecies, Peter II, will not be in Rome, for while he is the last of this era of the Son of God, he will be the first Pope of the new Marian era and I will be there where this new Vatican will be. There will be a new Rome in the world, in the sense that the persecutions will be identical to the persecutions of the first Christians. And Peter II will originate from this milieu referred to as the new Rome and therefore, he will be Peter the Roman. I know the year [2033, according to LL II, 133] when the era we are living in right now will end.

In re-reading my letter to Monsignor Jean, it was given me to understand one thing: Monsignor Jean’s pontificate began, secretly, here. That reminds me of what is written in the second volume of Life of Love: «QUEBEC WILL REALLY BECOME A NEW ROME.» [LL XIII, 318]

Let us recall that, in 1958, in the second volume of Life of Love (p. 132), it is written that the plots of land we had bought in Lac-Etchemin would one day be the location of the new Rome. Is it not this that we are seeing here?… this beginning with Spiri-Maria, and already the birth of the Church of John! Is it not the most beautiful floret of the renewed Church of Peter? Thus it is that Mary, the Lady, is saving her Son’s Church which has always refused her Work of Love. [WB-II, 122-123]

The entire Prophecy of the Popes is flooded with torrents of light coming from these two words: FLOS FLORUM, which alone justify the illustrious oracle.

108.
FLOS FLORUM
(«Flower of Flowers»)

[In the book Le Secret de Marie, in chapter 11 (pp. 66-70), I linked the motto FLOS FLORUM to the «great sign» of chapter 12 of the Apocalypse, the miracle of the Sun at Fatima and the miracle prophesized at Garabandal. The 108^th motto also appears on pages 38, 54, 61-63 and in the long note 72.]

In his book La Prophétie des Papes, Raoul Auclair had already speculated that we could attribute the motto PASTOR AND NAUTA to Paul VI rather than to John XXIII (cf. previous article).[6] Nevertheless, he tries to see the possible connections between the motto FLOS FLORUM and the events that marked Paul VI’s pontificate (not yet completed) (pp. 68-83). He also reflects on the symbolism of the flower of flowers:

But what is the flower of flowers? The Rose? The Lily? Either one could be; but the Lily and the Rose are not involved in the same mystery. [p. 68]

The Rose is the arcanum of Mary, one of whose names is precisely: Mystical Rose. [p. 68]

As for the Lily, it is the emblem of royalty. [p. 69]

There is in FLOS FLORUM what is like the anticipation of a summit and an apotheosis. [p. 71]

The flower of flowers is the Rose. But before the Rose blossoms in the light of Easter, its stem bears only thorns, the thorns of the Passion. [p. 73]

In volume V of Life of Love, Marie-Paule tells us that she has «spent a long time» on the section dedicated to FLOS FLORUM in Raoul’s book, and she quotes a few excerpts from it (LL V, 47-48). She revisited the topic, citing more broadly Raoul, in God’s Ways are not our ways (pp. 66-69, 83). Two front-page articles in the paper The Kingdom use the 108^th motto in their very title and again cite Raoul’s thinking:

For his part, Marc Bosquart further elaborates the symbolism of the Rose («arcanum of Mary») and the Lily («emblem of royalty»). In his 1985 article on the Flower of Flowers, he suggests the «conjunction» (p. 1) and «complementarity» (p. 3, 1^st column) of the Rose and the Lily in the Lady of all Peoples:

The Flower of Flowers: within the Rose, in the image of Mary, there is the Lily, in the image of the Redeemer. When Mary Co-Redemptrix comes, she is naturally the conjunction of both flowers: the Flower of Flowers. [p. 1]

The Flower of the Flowers refers to the Immaculate Mary (Rose), during her second coming or Reincarnation in Marie-Paule, with a view to the Co-Redemption and the Terrestrial Kingdom (Lily). There is a stylized illustration of it on the front and back cover of Marc Bosquart’s first two books, as well as on the first page of the 1985 article: a circle containing a five-petalled flower (Rose), with the latter containing a six-petalled flower (Lily), all of which enclosing, in a concentric way, a cross.

The 108^th motto FLOS FLORUM refers to the Sovereign of the Earth, who comes to open the Terrestrial Kingdom to all peoples, on a global scale. I noted, to my great surprise, that the 81^st motto anticipated and prefigured this reality at the level of the Kingdom of France:

This motto corresponds to Pope Urban VIII (1623-1644), who reigned at the same time as King Louis XIII (1610-1643).[9] It just so happens that, on 10 February 1638, the latter consecrated the Kingdom of France to the Virgin Mary, making the Queen of Heaven, temporally and juridically, the Queen of France. Let us listen again to Raoul:

When you come down to it, the Lily and the Rose form a unit and bring out two aspects of a common mystery. Thus, Mary, Mystical Rose, is queen of the Kingdom of the Lilies. All of this was realized throughout France in prefiguration [on the occasion of the consecration of 1638]. Through this celestial royalty, juridically established on earth, God was already indicating that Mary would be Queen there where Christ would be King. Or better still: it seems that God wills that it be the Queen who is to open the door to Christ the King, just as in France, once, the king of France received from Joan his kingdom. [La Prophétie des Papes, pp. 69-70][10]

The matching of mottos 81 (LILIUM AND ROSA) and 108 (FLOS FLORUM) seems to me to be a strong and later confirmation of the authentically inspired and prophetic character of the Prophecy of the Popes of Saint Malachy.[11] In 1969, Raoul Auclair wrote in his book:

FLOS FLORUM, would it not be, as well, the supreme exaltation of the Lily and the Rose? For the Lily — so, presumably, France —, we still have to wait. But for the Rose, the Mystical Rose, the beginnings of an increased glory are already being established. [p. 71]

In 1985, Marc Bosquart thus concluded his article on the Flower of Flowers:

Moreover: even before the reign of Mary, the reign of the Rose, officially opens, it could have, as an «anticipated consequence», the restoration of the Kingdom of France or the Kingdom of Mary. Kingdom and King of France, eminently covered with lilies in the image of their Queen, from whom the King will, besides, hold his scepter, as did Charles VII from the hands of Joan, who had conquered it for him and who spoke in the name of Jesus Christ.

Twenty-five years after this article, the «restoration of the Kingdom of France», in Quebec and New France, became a reality on 31 May 2010, at the sacring and crowning of Marc-André I^er, «the seventieth and last king of France» (VA App. III, 72). This is an unprecedented and grandiose event: the accession of the first «Lieutenant of the Total Christ» (Christ Man and Christ Woman being indissolubly united).

Thus Heaven has just proved that the appointment of a Church King [Marc-André I^er] was its Work and that the Queen — title that has been bestowed upon me — must have her lieutenant [in the person of this Church King]. [WB-V, 158]

Since May 31, 2010, we have had the single honor of having a King: «Long live King Marc-André I^er!»

With those words, Heaven was setting the seal on the Work of the «Church King», by indicating besides its «Lieutenant» [that is Yvan Laprise, Lieutenant of the Church King Marc-André I^er, himself Lieutenant of the Total Christ]. [WB-V, 158-159]

[This last quote comes from a letter from Mother Paul-Marie to Yvan Laprise, dated 26 June 2010, in the context of his appointment as Lieutenant General of the «Kingdom Mary Queen». This appointment took place on 24 June 2010, on the feast of Saint John the Baptist, «the feast of the French Canadians» (WB-V, 159).]

Here is a comment from Sister Chantal Buyse, in The White Book V, An Opening onto Heaven:

Two thousand years later, May 31, 2010, marked, in a certain way, the crowning of Mother Paul-Marie’s mission here below. In fact, after having gone to the utmost limit of obedience to God, after having had to present herself publicly as the Lady of all Peoples in 2007 and as the Sovereign of the Earth in 2008; after having accepted to be canonized during her lifetime and having been crowned by Heaven with the title Mary Queen in 2009, she had definitely won and opened the Kingdom of Earth for all the souls saved by Jesus Christ. On May 31, 2010, she had established its foundations with the appointment of the first Church King who embodies this promise of the future. [WB-V, 178]

Already, in the 1970s and 1980s, Marc Bosquart had received in his soul the «seed of royalty», as he himself confides. [12] Had it not been for the infidelity of Monsignor Jean-Pierre van Lierde, who delayed the realization of God’s Plan, Marc might have become King in the 1980s.[13] In any event, there was «Royalty in the air» (WB-V, 121) in those years, as evidenced by a series of articles written by Marc Bosquart (these are not translated in English):

The imminence of this «restoration» was announced by the Lady at Kérizinen:

I come down to raise and save France. In a short while, I will give her a great leader, a king. She will then experience such a turnaround that her spiritual influence will be paramount in the universe. [18^th apparition, 29 May 1948][22]

On 14 September 2001, at the Eucharistic and Marian Center Spiri-Maria, a magnificent Eucharistic fresco was installed in the sanctuary of the chapel, a symbol of the new faith in the Total Redemption and the Total Eucharist:

that beautiful chalice surmounted by the host showing the double Presence [the Redeemer and the Co-Redemptrix], the whole of it placed before the cross, without forgetting the rose, «the Flower of Flowers».[23]

That was three days after the Warning of the extraordinary pulverization of the Twin Towers in New York City, on that terrible and excruciating day of September 11 when everything changed. Marie-Paule continued in the same article:

Behold the beginning of the Kingdom on earth. Those who visit Spiri-Maria are taken with the peace felt and the need for the transparency of a life fully centered on God. [p. 22; emphasis added]

And in the following paragraph:

So it has come about that in this place [at Spiri-Maria, in Lac-Etchemin, in Quebec (the new Rome and the new Vatican)] the Terrestrial Kingdom was opened last September 14, and that hearts athirst for love have already entered it, happy to have seen, read and believed, in the simplicity of their hearts, that the Catholic Church, following its head, Pope John Paul II, the theologian of the heart who acknowledges the supernatural, is on the march towards a summit. [p. 22]

Thus began «the reign of Mary, the reign of the Rose», the reign of the Flower of Flowers, that is, of Marie-Paule, in whom Mary was present, and of whom Joan of Arc — «the Saint, already, of the restoration of Royalty»[24] — was an exquisite and powerful prefiguration.[25]

We will continue later our considerations on the 108^th motto FLOS FLORUM. Let us conclude this article for now with a passage from the book From the Divine Trinity to the Trinity of the Immaculate, published on 12 September 1985 (English version). The year 2018, which is about to end, marks the 33^rd anniversary of this book.

But if Mary is the Rose, hence, the Flower par excellence, the Lady of all Peoples, who once was Mary and who ranges Herself beside Her, should be the Rose juxtaposed to the Rose, the Flower par excellence juxtaposed to the Flower par excellence; yes — in very truth, THE FLOWER OF FLOWER!

Someone some day will unveil the inspired character, truly inspired, of this expression, «Flower of Flowers», employed by Saint Malachy in his celebrated «Prophecy of the Popes», and which is completely identical, in what concerns language, with the marvelous symbol which is the Number 55!

And not only identical with the number 55, but also identical with the phrase: The Lady of all Peoples (5, the Flower) who once was Mary (5, the Flower), or, 55, the Flower of Flowers! [pp. 121-122][26]

Finally, let us add this passage from an article by Sylvie Payeur-Raynauld:

In their inspired writings, several members of the Work (among them Marc Bosquart and Marc Élie) have attributed to the Lady of all Peoples the motto «FLOS FLORUM», the 108^th motto of the prophecy of the Popes.

The papal motto «FLOS FLORUM» is inscribed in the sanctuary at Spiri-Maria: it is the ROSE molded at the base of the symbol of the Co-Redemption, a symbol designated by the Lord to Marie-Paule as being this latter’s «EPITAPH» in this place. Ordinarily an epitaph is engraved on a tombstone; for the Co-Redemptrix, this epitaph is represented by a symbol, as is the motto «FLOS FLORUM» which all the peoples will attribute to her in the Kingdom.

This understanding of the motto «FLOS FLORUM» sheds light on the ultimate meaning of the indication from the Lord, given as soon as the Army of Mary was founded:

«THE ARMY OF MARY WILL BE RECOGNIZED BY THIS SINGLE TRAIT: ITS FIDELITY TO ROME AND TO THE POPE.»[27]

It could be said that the 1987 revocation decree opened an official phase of «religious persecution» against the Army of Mary «here» in Quebec until the concrete establishment of the «new Rome» in Lac-Etchemin. This is more or less what the oft-used image of the catacombs expresses:

The Army of Mary is God’s Work; it did not come about by human will. It has been given by Heaven «for the spiritual and material uplifting of the Church». We are living happily in the Church of the catacombs, for peace and love surge up from the depths of our labors. It had been announced that we would return to the era of the catacombs for our meetings… and we had difficulty believing this, given that we had such beautiful ceremonies in churches /…/. [Father Denis Thivierge, second brochure Engaged in combat, p. 33]

In the context of this «persecution», let us remember the episcopal attempts (beginning with the bishops of Quebec) to block the priestly ordinations of the Sons of Mary.

The second expression, which also corresponds to eight small dots, seems to be the eight-letter expression «AU QUÉBEC» (in French) or «IN QUEBEC» (in English), which the other introductory quotations of the present article tend to confirm, especially the third one from LL XIII, 318. In volume III of Life of Love (LL III, 201), a discreet and subtle reference is made to this «future Vatican» (elsewhere called «last Vatican» or «new Vatican»).
